Breast Augmentation Options: Which One is Right for You?

Breast Augmentation in Philadelphia, PAA breast augmentation is a fantastic long-term solution to achieving your ideal body image. It includes increasing or restoring breast size that may have decreased with age, pregnancy, or just may have never been there. There are quite a few options out there, so you will be able to choose which breast augmentation procedure is right for you.

Saline

Saline based implants are made up of sterile salt water and can be designed one of two ways. One option is the implant can be pre-filled according to the size and shape of the design worked out by you and your doctor. The second would involve filling the implant during the surgery to allow for modifications during the process that may better fit your body and aesthetics.

A newer option we also offer are structured saline-filled breast implants. They contain the same saline water, but with an added padding of soft and elastic silicone gel that allows the implants to hold a firmer shape.

Silicone

Silicone implants are ideal for people with a slim build who are looking to go up a few sizes. These implants will give them a more natural feel and appearance for their body type. That being said, they can be offered to anyone. And while they are more expensive than the saline options, they provide a shape and feel that is worth the extra money.

Silicone gel-filled implants have a soft and elastic gel filling that is added in before the procedure is started. The patient can decide whether they prefer the shell of their implant to be smooth or textured depending on how the overall feel may affect them.

There are also cohesive gel silicone-filled breast implants that are made of crosslinked molecules of silicone that allow the internal substance to be thicker and firmer than most traditional implants. If you’re looking to focus more on the shape of your breasts rather than the size, then this may be your best option.

Autologous Fat Transfer

This procedure is still relatively new to the field but is perfect for any patient that prefers to remain all natural. It involves transferring the fat cells of another problem area of your body, such as the thighs, or perhaps abdomen, and injecting them into the breasts. This procedure is often paired with liposuction.
