When it comes to looking young, a toned, sleek neck is key. Unfortunately, the natural aging process can make this a challenging task, as gravity pulls down and fat repositions itself, creating a turkey neck appearance. Many of our patients seek to reduce this excess skin and fat with the help of a neck lift. So if you are curious about a neck lift and the recovery process, here is what you need to know:
Recovery is Highly Individual
An outpatient procedure, your neck lift will be customized exactly to your needs and goals. During the procedure, Dr. Ginsburg will remove excess fat, tightening muscles and soft tissue. Due to the placement of the incision under the chin, any scarring will be almost invisible.
As with any surgical procedure, it is important to remember that recovery will vary depending on the individual. However, most patients take anywhere from one to two weeks off from work after their neck lift. It is common for the neck to feel tight, as well as to experience bruising and swelling. Although we will provide you with detailed recovery instructions, we generally recommend waiting at least three weeks before increasing your activity level.
The Cost is Customized
Just as your recovery is individual, your pricing will be individual as well. This allows us to provide the most customized procedure that addresses your specific needs. You can expect to discuss your pricing and payment options during your consultation. And to help make your procedure within your financial reach, we accept a variety of payment options, including financing through CareCredit®.
